| Sanstar Rabbitry is a family owned and operated rabbitry nestled in the piney woods of east Texas. My sons, niece and myself enjoy raising and showing our rabbits. We have met great new friends and enjoy friendly competition through the shows and are always excited when we do good on the table with one of our bunnies we bred and raised. There is alot of work and trial and error in choosing rabbits that will continually produce showable stock that compete well. We have been lucky in purchasing our breeder stock from breeders that are willing to go the extra mile with advice and support. We would like to thank them all and as a seller I hope to be there for my customers the same way. We currently have several breeds we are raising and showing however our main focus is on the harlequins. We raise both harlequin groups, the magpie and the japanese in all four varieties black, blue, chocolate and lilac. The harlequin is a unique breed judged primarly on markings. They are a challenging breed to raise as there is no "sure fire" way to breed for the correct markings but when you get excited and can't wait to dig into that nest box it's a great feeling. It's even better when you see that bunny that might just be the show stopper! This past year the kids have chosen many different breeds to experience. We have english lops which are a wonderful, fun breed. The ears on these guys are awesome measuring 21 to 29 inches (some even longer) from tip to tip. Also fairly new to our rabbitry are the mini lop, mini rex, holland lop and netherland dwarfs. All of these breeds are unique in there own way and have been great fun showing. We are hoping to have litters available soon for sale. The lionhead is the breed to have if you want orginality. They are so cute with their full manes and shorter body fur and you would be surprised at how often they are mistaken for cats until examined a little closer. We also raise a variety of commercial breeds including the Satin, Champagne D'Argent and Californian. In Satins we raise the siamese, copper and chinchilla varieties. The fur on these guys is truly beautiful with its high sheen and on these colors it really seems to stand out. The champagne are really pretty with their "old silver" coloring and are unique in the fact they are born solid black and turn silver as they age. The black fades to silver usually between 2month to 6months in stages which leaves the bunny with silver and black intermixed for that time...it's too bad they can't stay that color. Our cals are mainly used for meat pens for the kids to show at County Fair. We do have some during off season that will be for sale. If you would like to view our current stock for sale just click on the breed you would like to see and follow the links to the sale pages. We do ship through Frontier Cargo Airline. We have found it to be the least expensive and have had quality service to date. If you would like to ship through a different airline just contact us for availability. We are members of the American Rabbit Breeders Assoc, Texas Rabbit Breeders Assoc., American Harlequin Rabbit Club and the Harlequin Club of Texas. |

| *In addition to our rabbitry my family also own and operate a small ranch called the Sweet Neches, named after great times my husband and I spent with a dear friend on the Neches River many moons ago. She has since passed but is loved forever by my family. At the ranch we raise APHA paint, AQHA quarter and AHA arabian horses, miniature horses and donkeys, commercial cattle, boer/boer mix goats, manx cats, catahoula and East Texas yellow black mouth cur stock dogs, pomeranians puppies and a wild mix of bantam and standard chickens.
